Web Design Services
We also provide a range of web services such as hosting and domain registration at low, low prices.
All Brionglóid websites are also given a free listing in the Brionglóid Sites Directory and a write-up in our porfolio along with a paragraph detailing the company and a link to the company's site. It's free advertising basically, plus, by linking to your site, it's sure to raise it yet another step on the search engine ladder.
Unlike other companies, who charge by the hour, we charge a fix rate per page.
In almost all cases - unless your site require specialist work, such as scripting, credit card billing or database integration - we charge only €20 per page. Other extras, such as logo designs or flash interfaces, cost extra. Hosting and domain registration charges are also separate.

A good, successful website should have the following:
All our web pages use valid XHTML, CSS, the computer code used to create the content and design of web pages respectfully. This code is validated by the W3C - the Worldwide Web Consortium - the main international standards organization for the World Wide Web. When you see these symbols on a page it signifies the fact that the code used to make that page has been validated by the W3C.
![]()
Think of it as proper grammar for the worldwide web.
When you write something for your business it is important to adhere to proper grammar rules. Knowing where to put commas, full stops and capital letters, knowing when to go to a next line or when to start a new paragraph shows that you are competent and professional.
Otherwise you would end up with a huge jumble of disjointed words which are nigh-on impossible to read, let alone comprehend the message they are trying to convey.
Browsers have the same problem. If the code isn't properly punctuated, or the syntax is incorrect, then the end result will be incorrect also. What happens, therefore, is that the browser has to do its very best to try and decipher the code you have given it, and display it as best as it can. Since all browsers interpret the code differently, what is displayed, therefore, is a sort of guesstimate of what each browser thinks the code should be and, quite often, this is not what the owner of the site had in mind.
Poorly written code, therefore, may result in issues regarding how your site is rendered, depending on the browser used. These issues may be slight, or they may be rather prominent. In some instances a site that looks great in Microsoft's Internet Explorer might not even be visible in other browsers. For this reason we make sure to test various browsers with various platforms, such as Internet Explorer 6 7, and 8, Opera, Apple's Safari browser, Konquerer, for Linux, and, our personal choice browser, Mozilla Firefox.
The second reason for using the code is that it ensures that your site is clearly legible to search engine "spiders" or "robots", programs which scour though the code of websites, archiving and indexing them so that users can search them later through search engines. Therefore the better the code, the easier it can be "spidered" and therefore the higher your chances are of gaining a higher place on search engine results on site such as Google.
The net result, therefore, is a far higher chance of gaining more visitors to your site and, therefore, more revenue for yourself.
Many designers use proprietary web designing software, which can often, depending on the product use, result in buggy, bloated code which may look wrong in other browsers and often takes time to load. Many of these pages, some over a decade old, can still be seen today. They hearken back to a time when web standards weren't as well regulated and employ code which is not W3C-compliant. One does not need to know or understand the code, however, as the results can be seen on the screen.
When we design our pages we write all our code from scratch, meaning our code is lean and mean, it loads quickly, and is visible on, and looks good in, all major web browsers. It also means that not only will it look great now, but it'll still look just as good in ten years or more.
