Webpage update - €10
Many people need to be able to change or alter certain pages regularly. This could be a sales page updating their special offers, a restaurant changing their menu, services or timetable updates, picture updates, price changes or just regular content updates. The easiest way is to simply email the information to us and we can add it to your website later. We also offer special discounts to customers who use the service regularly.
Web page update (quick) - €5
For when you need a few changes or adjustments to your site or add extra material; text, graphics, links, etc.
File uploads - <40mb free, 40mb+ = 5c per megabyte.
This is especially handy for customers without high speed connections. It's also useful for people who wish to share files that are too large to email. Instead the files reside in a folder on your web space which you can link to directly on your site or via email. If you wish to be able to access these files but keep them private from the general public, as well as from search engines such as Google, we can do so also.
To avail of this service simply place the file(s) on a some form of portable medium (i.e. CD, DVD, memory stick, memory card) and either deliver or post it to us. We can even return the media to you if you want it back afterwards.
File conversion - variable.
Convert files from one file type to another, e.g. convert those graphics files from one format to another, convert different audio/video formats or convert from Microsoft Word to PDF. As there's an infinite variety of file sizes and types we cannot offer a fixed price on this service.
We also offer bulk deals for companies who will be submitting to us on a much more regular basis.
Essentially, how this works is that the more updates you give us the less we'll charge you.
Standard rate - €10 per page
Bulk rate - €5 per page.
This rate applies if you need to edit ten or more pages per month, or four or more pages per week.
Note: These rates apply to page updates only and not to new pages, which still cost €20.
As with all these services additional costs may be involved such as consultation fees.
A popular request we have found, is people who have an existing website but wish to have it renovated or "touched up". Technically speaking, however, we do not provide such as service. Whilst we have no problem editing existing pages or uploading new pages to your site, when it comes to taking over the redesign of a website, we don't "half design" websites, we either design them, or we don't. (It also means it's easier for the customer to see where the old designer's work finishes and where Brionglóid's begins.)
In other words the cost per page is still the same as if you were to get a new page from scratch - €20 per page - so it's actually going to work out cheaper to get the whole site redesigned and done right, rather than have it half-done by someone else who charges by the hour.
What we do instead, is to either redesign the site, or completely rebuild the original design of the site using new code in order to make it W3C compliant. (See our web design page for more details.)
Of course this by no means implies that you have to change the actual content of the site; the text, look and layout of each webpage can stay exactly the same as it was before, except that, behind the scenes, the old code will be taken out and replaced completely making your site leaner, faster and easier to use. It'll also make it easier to display on numerous platforms and also make for search engines to crawl and index the sites content therefore potentially boosting your search engine ratings too.
In other words you get the best of both worlds, you get a complete refit of your entire site for a low, low cost, keeping the best aspects of it whilst replacing the worst. The benefit of having existing content - such as text and graphics - is an advantage also, particularly in terms of speed. Our work method also means that we can work away in the background to upgrade your site, quickly, efficiently and seamlessly, with little or no disruption to you, your company or to the visitors or users of your site.
