So you've got a website - now what?
Well, having first boosted your search engine ratings it's now time to concentrate on other means of promoting your website and, finally, working on ways of making people excited by your site, your business and use your site to make you money! After all - that's the reason you wanted a website in the first place - right?

Business sector-specific marketing:

Boost your site's rating and your revenue by registering, allying or affiliating yourself with relevant sites.
For example, if you're in the accommodation or tourism business, then it might be worth your while registering with various different sites that are related to your business, i.e. Trip Advisor, Expedia, World66, etc, as well as related forums and newsgroups. Likewise if your field is technology related, then we can help you by getting your site listed or mentioned on various tech sites, trades sites, property sites or whatever your field may be.

Viral Marketing:

Don't worry, it's not bad for your health! Viral marketing, basically, is a type of marketing that is passed, from person to person, propagating rapidly, whilst boosting your profile all the time. A successful viral marketing campaign, therefore, is dependant upon not how many people you can meet, but how many of these people pass your message on. The secret, therefore, is to create a buzz about your company, site or product by making sure to give the people something worth talking about.

Viral marketing is also dependant on branding. As with any form of marketing or advertising, it's only successful if, once your message has been conveyed, people know what your product or service is.

Creating a Buzz:

In practice, web promotion is no different to any other form of promotion - if you want a successful promotion then give the people something you think they might want. Two tried and trusted ways that never fail are giving people something interesting, exciting or even controversial to read or look at, or, to give people something for free. So maybe some free downloads - everyone loves a freebie!
Now you may find that a lot of these methods are fairly self-evident, it's just that you lack the technical know-how to accomplish what you wish - and that's where we come in. We can help you devise your own online strategy and take you through the steps, from inception to realisation, as well as designing and creating the materials to do so.

Ebooks:

A perfect example would be to offer your customers a free downloadable ebook. An ebook is essentially an electronic book or brochure of interest to your potential customers. (Indeed there are many people on eBay who've carved out special-interest niches who make money from selling ebooks alone)
Remember, when somebody goes to your site it's because they're interested in your goods or services. So give them a reward for arriving there - in the form of a downloadable ebook. We recommend a .pdf file so that when somebody downloads it, your material cannot be copied or edited in any way but it can be passed around and emailed to all their friends. The best thing about the ebook, of course, is that you don't print it, the customer does, so you don't pay printing costs.
So say, for example, you run a guesthouse that specialises in fishing holidays on the Shannon River; you could offer a free ebook on your site which discusses fishing in Ireland, talks about the Shannon River, and also the types of fish you can find and how to catch them. Anyone looking for information on this subject will therefore find all the information they need, from your site's ebook. Make sure, then, to brand it properly, by placing your own company name, contact details, link to your website and your logo all over it, so that after they read it, your company is the first person they want to talk to.

Newsletters:

Much like an ebook, a newsletter is a promotional document which can be disseminatedas a file, rather than printing it out.
Say you sell office stationary and paper products, instead of sending out thousands of brochures to companies (which cost a lot of money to print) you can just send out an electronic brochure via email. Visitors to your site can sign up to the newsletter as well as existing customers. You can then send out a monthly newsletter which highlights your special offers for that month, mentions any promotions you might be having, whilst also discussing various aspects of the business as a whole - not just your own. The most successful newsletters are the ones which offer something of interest to the customer, and not just prices, for example industry news, insider information, tips, investment opportunities, etc, etc.
Be sure to offer your customers the opportunity to opt out of the newsletter if they so wish, otherwise your newsletter runs the risk of being labelled spam, which can have a negative effect on your company's image.

Our charge for newsletters are the same as our charge for a single webpage (since, essentially, that's what a newsletter is) - €20, however we charge for our newsletter service annually, so if you wish to send out one each month that's €240. For that price you'd be lucky if you could send off a hundred or so colour brochures, with a newsletter you can reach thousands - potentially millions!
But that's not all - if you so wish we can take over the entire operation ourselves, to save your organisation time. All you need to do is email us the text, graphics and other content you wish to have and leave the rest up to us. We'll create the page and email it for you, to all your recipients, from an address - i.e. news@yourdomain.com - each and every month!

Webcams:

One of the most successful methods of promoting both your site and your business is by creating your own ebooks and newsletters. Another sure-fire gimmick is a webcam. Webcams are extremely popular with surfers and the fact is, no matter what the webcam shows, people will flock to watch. It's human nature for everyone to be even slightly voyeuristic, as TV shows like Big Brother have shown us. So if you put a camera someplace innocuous, such as looking at the street outside your business, people will want to look. After all, one of the most successful webcams of all time, was run by a bunch of students and consisted of a single webcam looking at a coffee pot.

If you want to set up such a service we can do so. We'll provide you with the cameras, install and configure the software and set up the system whereby the images are transferred to your website. Please contact us for more details.

Printing:

Sometimes the best way to get the word out is by doing it the old fashioned way - with paper and ink!
Brionglóid offers a range of print and design services to customers. We can design a range of full-colour posters, flyers, postcards, business cards, letterheads, brochures and literature all with your very own logo.

Merchandising:

Another effective way of making your online presence known is by merchandising. We can set up a system for you whereby customers can buy specially-branded merchandise and apparel which you can sell to get extra revenue, or, you can have designed up for promotional purposes, imprinted with your own web address or logo. This is ideal for trade fairs and expos, but can work just as well in pub promotions or local events. Or you can just hand them out to customers in your office or as Christmas presents. Items include t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, fridge magnets, pens, calendars, posters, bumper stickers, mouse mats and more!
So, just tell us what you'd like and we'll design it for you and have it made and shipped direct to your door!
